Free Yourself From Free Web Traffic Bondage
I’ve probably tried every free web traffic method there is at one time or another. Let me save you the trouble and show you what works and what to avoid like the plague.
The best kind of free web traffic is the kind that costs you little in time or money and brings in the people who want and or need exactly what you have to offer. If the two elements are not satisfied, you do not have effective traffic generating tactics.
Pay Per Click is not free and will only bring in traffic based on your advertising offer. If your offer is not strict in its qualification process, you will bring in people who may click on your offer, go to your website, sign up but never buy anything from you.
So the best free web traffic must be able to pay for itself and also bring in highly compliant prospects. The people who are looking for what you have to offer must feel that they have found something that fits their needs.
So if you are going to find the right source of free Web traffic you must know what to avoid as well. Here is a nightmare for you to contemplate:
Look for free traffic sources within your niche market: I got excited one day when I read an eBook on link exchanges and how to use them for huge influx of traffic. The information was well written and the concept sounded pretty logical. There were plenty of sites to choose from and got busy signing up and setting up these little accounts.
My niche was building health care websites and a marketing manual for their practice. I worked with comparative alternative medical practitioners. You probably see where this is going. How in the world am I going to find those guys in link exchanges? I was confident going in that the extra traffic volume would do me good.
After a few weeks of building up traffic that did not pay off, I decided to go back to Pay Per Click. This was expensive but I felt that the traffic was a little more responsive and converted into clicks.
I’ve tried other tricks such as FFA (free for all ads) and found a lot of spam in my inbox. I’ve even placed those plugins on my website that is supposed to bring targeted traffic to the site.
I’ve clicked links for hours on traffic exchange sites and hunted for reciprocal links. These tactics might be great for someone else’s business but I found them time consuming and ineffective.
Here’s what worked for me and still does:
· Keyword relevant Articles.
· Videos on YouTube, AOL, MySpace and Yahoo.
· Keyword optimized blogs.
· Social Networking sites.
· Digg, Stumble Upon, and other book marking sites
· Online Press Releases.
These tools have made a difference in my traffic and in the Web traffic results of my clients. I recommend them to anyone who wants to get to the top of the search engines in profitable keywords. You can avoid the trap of going from one dubious free traffic tactic after another.
The first rule is to find out what your successful competitors are doing and do it better. Then find out what your prospects are looking for and give it to them. Last but not least, find out find out where your target audience goes on the web and be there. If you do all that, you will be way ahead of the game.
If you want to get clean targeted traffic that converts like crazy, you need to get a plan together and stick to what works for your market. Track your progress and teak your tools for maximum results.
